Welcome to the Navajo Code Talkers Application.

This application serves as a comprehensive dictionary of the Navajo language utilized by the Navajo Code Talkers during World War II. It is designed for both iPhone and iPad users, offering a collection of fundamental Navajo terms employed by the Code Talkers to convey unbreakable coded messages. Users can effortlessly search for Navajo words by entering their English equivalents.

As an enrolled member of the Navajo Tribe, I have included a majority of the authentic Navajo terms released by the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) after World War II. The vocabulary presented in this application is therefore credible and directly sourced from USMC documentation.

The application enhances user experience with integrated sound files. A total of 51 auditory recordings of Navajo military terms are included, allowing users to hear the correct pronunciations within the context of the coded language.

The primary goal of this application is to serve as an educational resource, offering insights into the Navajo coded words for those interested in learning about the secret communications used by the brave Navajo Code Talkers during World War II.
